Permaculture Orchard
What is Permaculture ?
Permaculture (the word, coined by Bill Mollison, is a portmanteau of permanent agriculture and permanent culture) is the conscious design and maintenance of agriculturally productive ecosystems which have the diversity, stability, and resilience of natural ecosystems.
Our orchard was designed to not only produce an abundant diverse crop but produce the crop in the most ethically friendly way. Our orchard will be an on going project for years to come. We will be installing a U-Pick berry orchard. The U-Pick orchard will have Blueberries, Strawberries, Blackberries, Raspberries and many more. The majority of the main orchard will consist of various nut trees, Pawpaws, and a large variety of American and Asian Persimmons. This orchard will not be sprayed with any herbicide or pesticide.
